AASBO Certification
The AASBO certification program for school business professionals has been established. This program provides a designation that recognizes your professional knowledge and ability to be successful as a chief school business official or specialist in your chosen career. This certification will provide you with unique recognition in the community and amongst your peers, as well as an improved ability to compete in the job market. The two levels of certification are ACBO (school business official) and ACBS (school business specialist), which are explained in the application available for download. Professional certification will be for a five-year period. To renew certification, the applicant must have completed and documented 150 hours of professional growth in the area of school business since the last certification (hours may include bi-monthly meetings, classes, workshops, spring conferences, summer conferences).
